Patti Newman Proprietor
Patti began her career in retail furniture sales more than forty years ago at Finger Furniture Company in Houston, Texas. From here she went on to Stowers Furniture as an Assistant Buyer and later as the Administrative Assistant to the President. It was also here that she would meet her future husband, Dan Newman.
After marrying, Dan and Patti became Manufacturers’ Representatives until 1983 when they moved to Florida to represent Councill Companies and Southwood Reproductions. It was during this period that they noticed a void in high-end furniture at discounted prices in the Tampa Bay area. Seizing the opportunity, Dan and Patti cashed their retirement savings, and in 1990 PJ Newman Interiors was born.
Like most retail establishments, the company has experienced peaks and valleys throughout shifts in the economy. Nearly 25 years later the company is still in business. Patti has proudly made the list of Tampa Bay’s Top 50 Women in Business four times in previous years, and both her house and her daughter’s condo were featured in the Tampa Tribune. Her home was also shown on houzz.com.

Martin joined PJ Newman’s in 1995 where he continues to provide some of the finest interior design services in Tampa Bay. His work has been seen in Veranda magazine and on houzz.com.
